Most safety consultants have never done the work.
We started as laborers, ran heavy equipment, worked the iron, and led crews across some of the most hazardous industrial sites in the country, before becoming safety leaders. That's the difference.
The demolition and industrial industry has a fundamental problem: safety is still treated as a checkbox rather than a core part of how work gets planned, sequenced, and executed. Contractors react. They don't build it in.
Saber NW exists to close that gap, not by handing over binders full of procedures nobody reads, but by engaging every level of a project, from ownership and executive leadership down to the supervisors and workers doing the actual work.
Built-in safety is worth more than a thousand administrative controls. And the demo contractor succeeding is everyone succeeding.
We provide high-level safety and project leadership for demolition, abatement, environmental, and complex industrial work, as an owner's representative, client advocate, or embedded field safety consultant. Wherever the work is, we go.
Your eyes, voice, and protection on demolition and high-risk projects. We keep your interests front and center from pre-construction through closeout, someone who actually understands what's happening on that site.
Field-present safety leadership for demo and heavy construction. We know the machinery, the sequencing, the hazards, and the people doing the work. Real oversight from someone who's been on both sides of the fence.
Pre-demolition hazard reviews, site-specific safety planning, and sequencing oversight for complex structural, industrial, and environmental remediation scopes. We understand what's feasible, because we've done it.
Audits that go beyond checklists. We assess real conditions, real behavior, and real risk, then communicate findings clearly to both field crews and executive leadership.
Programs built around how work actually happens, not templates that gather dust. SOPs, JHAs, site plans, and training frameworks that field crews understand, supervisors enforce, and owners can trust.
Real answers, not reports written to minimize liability. Thorough root-cause investigations that find what actually happened, protect your organization, and prevent recurrence.
Federal OSHA and Washington State L&I/WAC compliance support including citation response, EMR improvement strategy, audit preparation, and client-facing safety narratives.
Risk register development and ongoing monitoring for high-exposure scopes, asbestos, lead, silica, PCBs, confined spaces, crane and critical lifts, fall hazards, and heavy equipment operations.
Practical training that supervisors can actually use. Toolbox talks, leadership coaching, and hands-on development that builds safety culture from the middle out, where it has to live.
Specialized planning for confined space entry, crane and rigging, critical lifts, torch cutting, structural removal, bridge and infrastructure work, and high-reach demolition. Plans that reflect how the work will actually be executed.
Saber NW was built on a simple premise: the best consultant is the one who's been where your workers are standing.
David Saber began his construction career as a laborer for a small excavation company in Portland in 2006, learning the trade from the ground up. From there he moved into service plumbing, then earned his card with the Ironworkers Union in Vancouver, WA before transitioning into demolition and environmental remediation at Envirocon in 2011.
At Envirocon he progressed from laborer to equipment operator to foreman, leading crews on complex demolition, abatement, and environmental projects across the country, before moving into the Health and Safety Department in 2016 as a Safety Technician. That foundation defined everything since.
David advanced through safety leadership roles including Regional Health & Safety Manager at Northstar and ultimately Director of Health & Safety, overseeing company safety programs, audits, incident investigations, regulatory compliance, and supervisor development at scale.
Saber NW is the next chapter: bringing that full-spectrum experience directly to owners, clients, and project teams who need real oversight, not a clipboard consultant who's never touched the work.
Saber NW is a Washington State Women and Minority-Owned business, built to deliver elite safety and project leadership wherever the work demands it.
